Surah An Nisa Ayat 34 English Translation
“Men are protectors and maintainers of women, as Allah has given some of them an advantage over others, and because they spend out of their wealth. The righteous women are devoutly obedient and guard in the husband’s absence what Allah would have them guard. As for those women from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them, forsake them in beds apart, and strike them. But if they obey you, seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.”

“مرد عورتوں کے حفاظت اور روزگار کرنے والے ہیں، کیونکہ اللہ نے بعض مردوں کو دوسروں پر فضیلت عطا فرمائی ہے اور وہ اپنی مال سے خرچ کرتے ہیں۔ نیک عورتیں خدا کے حکم پر تابعدار ہوتی ہیں، اپنے شوہر کے عدم موجودگی میں انکی حفاظت کرتی ہیں۔ جو عورتیں تمہیں ان کی نافرمانی کا خوف ہو، انہیں نصیحت کرو اور بستر سے دور رہنے کو کہو اور انہیں مارو۔ لیکن اگر وہ تم کی فرمانبرداری کریں، تو ان پر کوئی راستہ نہ ڈھونڈو۔ بے شک اللہ ہمیشہ عالیٰ اور بڑا ہے۔”
