Surah Yunus Ayat 24 English Translation
The example of the life of this world is only like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb – [those] from which men and livestock eat – until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

“Innama mathalu alhayati alddunya kamain anzalnahu mina alssama-i fakhtalata bihi nabatu al-ardi mimma ya/kulu alnnasu waal-anAAamu hatta itha akhathati al-ardu zukhrufaha waazzayyanat wathanna ahluha annahum qadiroona AAalayha ata-ha amruna laylan aw naharan fajaAAalnaha hasidan kaan lam taghna bialamsi kadhalika nufassilu al-ayati liqawmin yatafakkaroona.”

دنیا کی زندگی کا مثال یہی ہے کہ جیسے ہم نے آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا ہے جس سے زمین کے پودوں کی نشوونما ملتی ہے جو لوگوں اور جانوروں کو خوراک میں استعمال کرتے ہیں، یہاں تک کہ جب زمین اپنی زینت اور سنوری بھر لیتی ہے اور اس کے باشندوں کو یہ لگتا ہے کہ وہ اس پر قابو رکھتے ہیں، تو ہمارا حکم رات یا دن آتا ہے اور ہم اسے وہاں پر پھل ٹھہرا دیتے ہیں جیسے کہ کچھ دن پہلے ہیں۔ یہی طریقہ ہے کہ ہم آیات کو وہ لوگوں کے لئے تفکر کرنے والوں کے لئے واضح کرتے ہیں۔
Surah Yunus Ayat 24 Tafsir
This verse Surah Yunus illustrates the transient nature of worldly life. It compares life to rain that nourishes the earth and brings forth vegetation. People consume its produce, and they may feel a sense of control and ownership over the world. However, Allah’s command can swiftly change the state of affairs, transforming the flourishing earth into a barren harvest, reminding humanity of the impermanence of worldly pursuits. This example is given to encourage contemplation and reflection upon the signs of Allah in order to attain a deeper understanding of life’s true purpose.
