The Meaning of Surah Yunus Ayat 81

This verse refers to an incident where Moses (peace be upon him) was confronted by the magicians of Pharaoh’s court. The magicians had challenged Moses to a magic contest, and when they threw their staffs and ropes, they appeared to transform into snakes by the power of their magic. In response, Moses recognized their trickery and affirmed that what they had brought forth was merely an illusion, a result of magic.

Moses, being a Prophet of Allah, had been granted true miracles from Allah. He reassured the magicians that Allah would render their magic ineffective and nullify their deceptive display. The verse emphasizes that Allah does not support or rectify the actions of those who spread corruption or engage in deceitful practices.

Overall, this verse highlights the superiority of the divine truth over illusions and deceptive acts, and it serves as a reminder of Allah’s ultimate authority and ability to expose and render futile the efforts of those who engage in falsehood and mischief.
